Following a tender competition ICSE Conflict Management was contracted by Inland Fisheries Ireland to develop a bespoke conflict management training course for fisheries officers. Mark Toner and his team conducted a comprehensive training needs analysis which included site visits to meet regional staff and accompany them on patrol.
There was regular contact between ICSE and the key IFI stakeholders in the development of the training course. ICSE staff were extremely professional in their approach and conscientious with respect to delivery deadlines for the project and subsequent roll out. The course is now accredited by QQI. Accreditation gives fisheries officers confidence having acquired greater competency in the application of skills used in their enforcement role.
– Michael Cusack H&S Executive Inland Fisheries Ireland
“ICSE worked with us to meet the unique needs of our business for two distinct areas. They met on-site directly with staff in the West and in Dublin to analyse the specific needs on the ground. Training was provided and feedback was fantastic- staff not only learned a great amount but enjoyed the trainer who was very experienced as well as relevantly highly qualified.
The course will now be provided on a regular basis across our company. I was very impressed by the insight, professionalism and knowledge provided to our staff on Conflict Management by ICSE. I highly recommend ICSE for their professionalism, excellent content and knowledge base. “

“We at Transdev (LUAS Light Rail Operators) have utilized the services of ICSE to deliver a Conflict Management Training Course specifically tailored to our needs.
Right from the beginning the commitment to us shown by ICSE was extremely professional. The background work in developing an up to date and relevant course for our staff members was superb. The time and effort taken to develop the material was immense.
The course was delivered in a professional, informative and enjoyable fashion. All who attended this course were very impressed and highly complementary of the way in which it was constructed and delivered.”
– Paddy Devereux, Luas Green Line Customer Experience Manager
“From the initial discussion around our needs, right through the research, design and delivery phases, Mark and the team at ICSE set themselves apart from other providers that we have dealt with. Not everyone has experience in the sectors we work in, or in the services we provide, but we experienced a truly consultative approach from ICSE.
They got right under the skin of our business to understand our systems our people and our real needs. Mark’s considerable experience, qualifications and insights were invaluable and he shared them skilfully throughout a training course that was both impactful and enjoyable.
The practical nature of the course content meant that the knowledge and skills were immediately put into practice in the business.
Our people are without doubt safer and more prepared for conflict and personal risk because of the training. As an additional breath of fresh air, Mark and his team are pleasant, professional and proactive. ”

“In early 2009, the SFPA determined a need to devise a training module for its staff to equip them with the capabilities of dealing with conflict and confrontational situations if they ever arose in the course of completing legislative duties. Following on from this and on foot of a tendering process, Mark Toner of the International Centre for Security Excellence was selected as the training service provider.
Throughout the latter stages of 2009, Mark dedicated a large degree of his time to work closely with personnel of the SFPA with the intention of designing a training course that was specific to the needs of the SFPA. This was more than adequately achieved and the resultant course was rolled out on an intensive basis over 5 periods (each of a day and a half) in March of 2010.
The course successfully addressed the needs of the SFPA. It was delivered in a professional, highly competent and interactive manner to the enjoyment of all participants, with a diverse range of Seniority, Experience and Age, of the SFPA.”
